Welcome to Rārākau Rumble!

Everyone is welcome to come along this FRIDAY to Rārākau: Riccarton centre to play some games, chill, and have fun! No experience required!

What is Rārākau Rumble?

Rārākua Rumble is a tournament held by JotterB1t, Ak!ra, FRANKY and SimplyDominating. The tournament features the game Super Smash bros. Ultimate. Brackets will be a Singles bracket starting at 1PM (ALL BO5).

Please Bring Your Own Switch Setups or Controllers!!! (and other important into)

We strongly suggest that people bring setups so that there are enough for people to play on and that noone is left out on the fun! Setups will be stickered and named and should include: Swich, Dock, HDMI cable, Switch Dock power cord. During bracket times we will also try to run games as efficiently as possible, so go to the reporting TO at the reporting station as soon as your set has finished and wait for your opponent to proceed.

How much is it to enter?

There is no entry fee! So coming along for either practice and friendlies OR the brackets is free!

[IMPORTANT] For entry into Rārākau you will need to notify others in the #offline-games chat when you’re outside to be let in.

Where is Rārākau?

Rārākau is located at 199 Clarence Street, Riccarton. This venue is conveniently placed with a bus stop across the road for accessable transport. There is also Westfield Riccarton Mall walking distance from venue so you can get snacks and lunch!

In Game Rules / Ruleset

Stocks: 3 | Timer: 7 minutes | Items: Off | Smash Meter: Off | Stage Hazards: Off | BO3 / Top 8 BO5 (unless running late)

Stages: Both players can both agree to do Gentleman (Both agree to any stage) or pick via process of banning

Timing / Schedule

Opening and closing times is from 10AM to 5PM. Please message a TO in CHCH gamer clan discord if you will be turning up late.

Schedule:

12:00pm – Doors open

1:00pm – Smash Ultimate singles bracket begins

5:00 pm – Pack up time

5:30 pm – Doors close
